How does Zi Wei Dou Shu differ from BaZi?
BaZi reads a person through the elemental relationships among eight characters; Zi Wei Dou Shu arranges stars across twelve palaces and reads life by domain. If BaZi is a map of temperament, Zi Wei is closer to a floor plan — it shows which palace holds wealth and which holds the spouse.
What is the Life Palace?
It is the palace among the twelve that stands for you. It is fixed by your lunar birth month and hour, and the main star seated there forms the backbone of your temperament. Zi Wei in the Life Palace reads as a drive to hold the centre; Po Jun there reads as a drive to overturn the board.
What are the Four Transformations?
They are Lu, Quan, Ke, and Ji — prosperity, power, fame, and obstruction. The heavenly stem of your birth year decides which stars receive them, and the palace holding each transformed star becomes the place in that life where force gathers or where things catch. The palace holding Ji is usually where the person works hardest.
